"We have hired Lynn more than once, as she delivers superior results.

Her designs are creative and distinctive, while still taking into account the goals of the client.   Lynn is detail oriented and very thorough on budget and implementation.

The final product was beyond expectations, and the overall experience was wonderful."

THE ROAD TO MOROCCO:

Exodus From Hoboken
Atlantic Highlands, NJ

"We have to turn our shower valves on with a wrench!" said my clients.

Having just moved to the 'burbs from Hoboken and with a baby on the way,

we had to get started fast!

The room was large, but the fixtures looked scattered about and lacked a common element to tie them together. The small-scale pattern of the floor tile looked cluttered and the crooked installation didn't help matters, as it zig-zagged down the center of the room.

Lastly, the shower contained the bane of my existence:

a pre-fabricated, fiberglass module.  This was a gut job, waiting to happen.

As I do at the start of every project, my clients and I sorted through images together, to help visualize the look that they wanted.

It was then up to me to create that vision, but on a budget with which they were comfortable.
To unify the elements of this large room, I suggested sand-colored, marble tile as a neutral backdrop.  Cobalt blue, mosaic runs around the room's perimeter,

in keeping with colors found in North African interiors.
In the tub alcove, a barrel-vaulted ceiling provides a romantic hideaway and
an arched niche within echoes the curve of the ceiling - a design element which I repeated throughout the room.

The splurge was a double vanity, made of furniture-grade cherry veneer.

Sinks sit beneath creamy marble, faucets are rustic bronze and it's all brought together by an arched mirror, which spans the width of the vanity and is flanked by sconces of amber glass and bronze.
The now-spacious shower contains a comfy corner seat, a niche which neatly holds toiletries and a 1/2" thick, clear glass shower enclosure.

The finishing touch is a lush burgundy color from a paint line containing low fume output - an important health consideration.

One can almost smell saffron in the air ... is that your camel double parked outside?
