The Jack Lowery Travel Scholarship is a grant that was made by the late Professor Jack Lowery, FASID.

It provides one graduating Interior Design student with a $3000 grant to spend for travel in a foreign country or countries of their choice. The award of this scholarship is made at graduation ceremonies and the successful candidate is expected to travel during the summer which preceedes their progression into the Upper Division BFA Interior Design Program of the Fashion Institute of Technology.

It is the intent of this scholarship to provide the opportunity to further the educational career of design students through travel and exposure to other countries and their history, culture, art, architecture and most importantly, interior design.  It is also the intent, and a requirement of this scholarship, that the student who is awarded this scholarship document their experience through slides and/or videos and sketches and make a presentation to their colleagues prior to graduation.
