Third Floor - Kitchen
Serving as the master suite, the third floor includes the master bedroom, sitting room, master bathroom, laundry area, galley kitchen and flexible storage.
Should the owner choose to convert the two top floors back into a rental space,
it could easily accommodate tenants with the turn of a key between floors
at the parlor level.
The kitchen opens onto an outdoor deck is used for entertaining, morning coffee or an evening snack with nightcaps.
Thoughtful design from the floor up, I began with Italian porcelain tile which provides the look of wood, but with the durability of tile.
This aspect of the design also allows a smooth transition between the kitchen floor and the existing parquet wood floor of the sitting room.
Cabinets are clean white with frosted glass inserts to keep them lightweight, while interior lighting creates depth to what would have been a monotonous run of cabinetry.
On one side, a 30" deep work surface is flanked by tall cabinets:
one conceals a stacked washer/dryer and the other, flexible storage.
Countertops are durable granite and a crystal chandelier gilds this lily!
