Kitchen & Bath

Having wisely invested in a lovely co-op with spectacular views of the East River, my clients told me that they planned to stay in their home "from now until forever".

Several years earlier, I had the pleasure of first working with them when I was commissioned to design "her" bath, A Pearl Within its Oyster.

I returned to work but this time, my task was not only to improve upon aesthetics, but to tackle the issue of Aging In Place.

That meant providing design solutions that were smart conveniences both for this phase of their lives and for in their future as well.

We completed the research and design phase of the project and received my clients approval to proceed with the agreed-upon design and budget,

before they left town for the winter months.

Over the course of the two months that followed, the contractors and I set to work on construction and installation.

Work was completed in time for spring and for my clients' arrival back to town, where they were greeted by cheerful lighting, shiny new fixtures, modern appliances and a home that is fit for living "from now until forever".
